How We Work With Our Customers
Depending on the type of submittal, we require the following information
COMPANY INFORMATION NEEDED
- Applicant’s company name, address, fax & phone number, email address, contact person’s name. The Applicant is the owner of the file.
- Manufacturers name, address, fax & phone number, contact persons name. If more than 1 manufacturing location for a product, we need to assign a factory identification marking for each factory.
HOUSEHOLD / LIGHTING PRODUCTS FOR SAFETY CERTIFICATION
Bill of materials (component parts list) –
If plastic used – need mfrs name, cat no. of plastic
Mechanical Drawing showing item to be submitted
Product Instruction sheets
Color box artwork (needed for nightlight submittals)
Bulb wattage and lamp type
ELECTRONIC PRODUCTS FOR SAFETY
Component board layout
PC board artwork trace layouts
Component list (bill of materials)
Identification of any plastic material used – mfrs name / cat no.
If product is a component – what is the end product usage
Special Listing needed ? – i.e. – class 2
Sample for review

If lighting component (ballast, transformer), need component and light fixture
Frequency of operation
Block diagram showing clock oscillating speed
Product description – transmitter, receiver, super regenerative receiver
Once we receive some information about the product submittal as outlined above, we can provide a cost quote to the client. Upon receiving a P.O. or verbal authorization to proceed, we can start testing and begin the project. Test results can be provided to you with in 2 weeks of receiving samples.
